We’ve put some ideas for exercises and activities at the end of the workpack, but don’t feel that you need to follow just these ideas, treat them as a starting point for your own, and the childrens, development of the themes in the play.

This workpack is designed as an aid for you in the classroom, both with academic and  practical work.

We’ve tried to include a clear and easy-to-use range of facts, exercises and ideas in the pack but, because of the nature of the topic regarding date ranges etc, we have had to use fairly broad headings. These headings are:

The First Humans Homo Erectus Neanderthals Homo Sapiens The First Britons
The Stone Age - Mesolithic
The Stone Age - Neolithic
Activities and Exercises
The Stone Age - Paleolithic

Because learning is fun!
